Exploring my ‘phone.

Yellow ladybird –
That I cannot photograph ~
Exploring my ‘phone.
Methodical bee –
Visits each of the flowers ~
Even damaged ones.
Sit far from the house –
Deep down in my book, hedges ~
Thrum of my sparrows.
Baby sparrows cheep –
Wood Pigeon’s unfinished song ~
Making lunch outside.
Holiday ending –
Have not managed to switch off ~
Until this moment.
Waves on a Wednesday-
I sit on a pile of rocks ~
Made in older seas.
The last parking space –
First ice lolly in ages ~
I’m easily pleased.
An audacious snail –
Sits drunk on my dahlias ~
I leave him to it.
Annual hedge cut –
Riddled with bloody briars ~
But blackberries too.
A washout summer –
Nothing to look forward to ~
Flowers seem happy.
