Walking home at night –

Bushy tailed fox follows me ~

Glad I’m not a mouse.

Post pub cycle home –

Two foxes crossing my path ~

Those that I do see.

Mama fox and cubs gambol ~

Look at the smart ones.

Foxes in the yard –
Playing ball, forget the wild ~
‘Till the door latch clicks.

St. Stephen’s Green, late –
Birds wait for the gates to close ~
So too does the fox.
